Ok, my dogs are just too funny! It was in the 20's this morning and the grass had ice on it. I think it scared my dogs. They heard the "crunch" when they stepped on it and took off running back to the house. Louisiana dogs just don't know how to react to this cold weather. Maybe I could get them some little parkas and snow shoes. I'm getting a visual...and it's too funny!
I am training my younger ratty and when it's cold outside, it makes it a little harder to do. She just doesn't want to have any part of the cold, cruel back yard. I really don't blame her, but it is not helping the training plan.
My older ratty does not want to get out of my bed in the morning. It is just too cold for her and she looks at me like I am with wicked witch of the west. She is perfectly happy lounging all day in the bed or in front of the fireplace.
I've come to the conclusion that Dogs are really smart and just think what it would be like if they could talk.

Loved reading your blog! I have some 6 & 8 wk old puppies right now. Outside potty training, what FUN ! We're in the frozen north too... -o temps the past couple nights! BRR... poor poor doggies!
I do have a 6 mo. girlie who will charge through snow banks in these temps though. Her name is "Honey" she even went through a creek the other day at 15 deg. outside!
I just thought it was cold here. You really have it cold where you're at. You right...poor doggies. Honey must be a trooper if she can plow through the snow and get wet in those temps. wow
We're lucky enough to have a Husky, who loves the snow (and she's lucky that we live in western New York state, so she gets plenty of it). Long legs, I think, are the key to enjoyment of the white stuff.
